Retirement-Income.net Privacy Policy
Retirement-Income.net (“Retirement-Income”)
has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate
our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our
information gathering and dissemination practices.
Javelin Marketing is a licensee
of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization
whose mission is to build user’s trust and confidence
in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information
practices. This privacy statement covers the Web
site www.retirement-income.net. Because this Web
site wants to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy,
it has agreed to disclose its information practices and
have its privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe.
If you have questions or concerns
regarding this statement, you should first contact retirement-income.net
at questions(at)Retirement-Income.net. If
you do not receive acknowledgement of your inquiry or your
inquiry has not been satisfactorily addressed, you should
contact TRUSTe at http://www.truste.org/consumers/watchdog_complaint.php
TRUSTe will then serve as a liaison with us to resolve
your concerns.
Information Collection and Use
Retirement-Income publishes various
investment booklets, and newsletters. Users can sign up
for free booklets, or a newsletter, from our home
page and other areas of the site by providing their first
name, e-mail address, phone number, and zip code. When
a newsletter or booklet is requested on the site, all of
the information submitted is shared with a trusted Financial
Advisor in your area. No further communication will come
from the site except if we do not have an available financial
advisor in your area. In that case, we may notify you when
an advisor is available to send your requested information,
and ask whether you opt to receive it at that time.
Log Files
As is true of most Web sites,
we gather certain information automatically and store it
in log files. This information
includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type,
internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating
system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which
does not identify individual users, to analyze trends,
to administer the site, to track users’ movements
around the site and to gather demographic information about
our user base as a whole.
We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally
identifiable information.
We use a third-party tracking service that uses cookies
to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors
to our site in the aggregate such as pages viewed, time spent
on the site, browser type, screen resolution, visit history,
and other non-identifiable information to better optimize
our site and improve usability for the visitor.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file
that is stored on a user’s
computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this
site. We do not link the information we store in cookies
to any personally identifiable information you submit while
on our site.
We use both session ID cookies
and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when
you close you browser. A persistent cookie remains on your
hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove
persistent cookies by following directions provided in
your Internet browser’s “help” file.
We set a persistent cookie to
track your visits to the site. Persistent
cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our
users to enhance the experience on our site.
If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your
ability to use some areas of our site, such as information
requests, may be limited.
Some of our business partners
(e.g., advertisers) use cookies on our site. We have
no access to or control over these cookies.
This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by retirement-income.net
only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
Some Retirement-Income advertisers
may use “view-through” pixels
to track the effectiveness of the promotions they run on
Retirement-Income.net. Such pixels may lead to cookies being
placed on your computer by these advertisers. Retirement-Income
does not have access to any personally identifiable information
about you as a result of these cookies and has no access
or control over these tracking utilities.
Communications From The Site
You will not receive any communications
from the site once your have requested a booklet or newsletter
except as described above. All communications via email,
phone, or postal mail will come from a trusted Financial
Advisor in your area. If
you do not want a financial advisor to continue to contact
you, please let the Financial Advisor know of your preferences.
Our site uses forms in which you
give us contact information (your name, address, daytime
telephone number, and email address) so you can place orders
for free financial information that you may find of value
to you. Your information will be provided to a local member
of our network of Financial Advisers so that your information
can be mailed to you from a local source. That Financial Advisor may or may not
phone you to inquire if you received the information and
have questions. These members are independent contractors
and not under our control. Again, if you prefer that
the Financial Advisor not to contact you further, please
let the Financial Advisor know your preferences directly.

We follow generally accepted industry
standards to protect the personal information submitted
to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over
the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure,
however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially
acceptable means to protect your personal information, we

Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, you
will need to resubmit your request for a newsletter or
booklet on this Web site, OR contact the financial advisor
who has contacted you following your original request.
We will not contact you via email after your initial request
has been fulfilled—we use your information only to
fulfill your initial request or for any reason, if it cannot
be fulfilled, to contact you in the future to verify your
interest.
Choice/Opt-out
We provide you the opportunity
to ‘opt-out’ of
having your personally identifiable information used for
certain purposes, when we ask for this information. For
example, if you request a booklet or newsletter and if your
request cannot be immediately fulfilled, you can indicate
your preference not to be contacted in the future on our
order form by checking the appropriate box at the bottom
of the form.
We do not use your personally identifiable information once
your initial request has been fulfilled, but may release
it to third parties that send similar information. You can
opt out of our database by emailing us at questions(at)Retirement-Income.net. Additionally,
you’ll want to contact the trusted local Financial
Advisor who fulfilled your initial request, and will receive
their contact information with your booklet or newsletter.
We share your name and email with
Zacks Research (www.zacks.com) a global disseminator of
financial information if you have opted-in to receive third
party offers. The information
shared may be used by Zacks Research to contact you via email
with related promotional offers or services. You will always
be able to opt out of these communications if you desire
by contacting Zacks. If you do not wish to have your information
shared with Zacks Research, then click the checkbox at the
bottom of any form to opt out of this inclusion.

by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.
Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy we
may need to disclose personal information when required by
